SonShine School is going great!  We have full enrollment, 28 children.  We passed both of our inspections.  We have one inspection by the licensing board and one from the health department.  God is truly watching over us.

We had our Thanksgiving feast on November 15th.  It was a great success.  We had parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and siblings feasting with us.  The food was bountiful and our hearts were thankful.

Our Christmas program will be December 13th at 6:30 pm.  We would like to invite you all to attend.  The children have been practicing their parts.  It will be a wonderful experience.

 FUMC Whitewright - December 2007

Our fundraiser is in progress.  We are selling Little Caesar’s pizza items.  If you wish to purchase something, the order form is in the church office.  The proceeds will be added to our general fund.

Continue to pray for us.  There are some staff changes taking place and this is the season for illness.  Your prayers are needed.  Thank you for all you do for us.

TROOP 42 NEWS

The Month of November was very busy for BSA Troop 42. The troop observed Veterans Day with a Flag Retirement Ceremony with the support of Mayor Bill Goodson, Texas National Guard, and the Whitewright Volunteer Fire Department. The boys also performed Flag Ceremonies for the Whitewright Middle & High Schools. The boys just finished up two huge fund raisers of BSA Popcorn and Vermont Christmas Wreaths to help raise money for a summer Colorado trip.  The troop has been asked by the City of Whitewright to participate in community service which will include planting the bushes for the new city park.  Justin Masias will have his Eagle Ceremony on Saturday December 15, 2007 at the Whitew
